About

Built by Felipe Felix Arias, ML engineer at Uber, NSF Graduate Research Fellow at UIUC, and originally from Bolivia. I built Marovi as a multilingual living textbook for technical learning, where AI can generate articles, summaries, and translations, and people can correct, improve, and extend them. Unlike traditional platforms where knowledge evolves separately in each language, Marovi is designed so improvements can strengthen the system across languages.

-'Us' is just me, [https://felipefelixarias.github.io/ Felipe Felix Arias], an AI PhD dropout currently working on machine learning at Uber, and my cousin, Sebastian Estrada, a Software Engineering student at McGill University. We both grew up in La Paz, Bolivia, but I moved to Chicago in 2008, where I earned a BS and MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Sebastian recently moved to Canada to pursue his Bachelor’s degree at McGill. He is an impressive student and has been key in keeping me determined to see this project through.

I feel a deep responsibility to use these skills to make AI more accessible. The idea for this community has been on my mind for over a year now, and I’m driven to bring it to life.
